You’ve seen the headlines.  They scream at you to be more and do less, to earn more and work less, to be bigger, more influential and more recognized.  These headlines shout that someone, somewhere can help you get there; but they almost echo another sentiment, one that unfortunately is widely shared…  “if you haven’t touched many, if you aren’t popular then you haven’t achieved success,” or “the bigger you are, the bigger your reward.”

That seems plausible.  I mean, don’t most people see their measure of success as directly related to their career, title, and level of influence?

It’s not about the number of followers, the title, or the amount of money that you make.  It is about the impact that you have on others and the fulfillment of your unique and divine purpose, so the next time the headlines scream, “do this to be big,” say instead “I’m going to be me, and let God show me what’s next.”
